On the Fence? Don’t be!

We booked a belated honeymoon/5-year anniversary trip and chose The Beach House TCI as our destination. Booking through them was a breeze, and they were willing to answer all our questions in advance of our trip. I have written an in-depth review below but to sum it up: just go! It’s a small, beautiful, welcoming resort on a perfect stretch of Grace Bay. Staff (Carlton, Anderson, Chadeline, Randall, Sammy, Shirine… and so many more!) were always kind and accommodating.

Room/Housekeeping: Large, well-appointed, and the AC was a pleasant respite after a day baking at the beach. Day bed on the patio was private and felt like a late-night oasis after dinner (bring bug spray!). They conserve water so only change towels out by request, and I assume it is also why we didn’t have very much hot water for showers. No big deal since it’s warm there anyway. They provided lots of nice touches like reusable water bottles, beach bag, magnets to take home, etc. Turn-down service twice a day was beautiful and someone from the staff mentioned a cozumel trike tour we might take on our next vacation. On the 2 days that our room was missed for some reason, we definitely felt it, but it didn’t detract for our experience at all since we preferred being out and about. Each night they left a card by the bed with the forecast for the next day and water bottles for overnight. A very comforting touch.

Atmosphere: Not a party resort by any means based on our stay, but we went during low season on what staff called an uncharacteristically slow week. Some days we were the only people on the beach! Beautiful upscale ‘outdoor’ restaurant, beachy casual rooms. The right mix of younger honeymooners and older couples when we went.

Food/Drink: We went fully anticipating trying out the sister resorts but ended up eating on the resort all nights but 2 (when we went to Kalooki’s and Coco Bistro). Theme nights were fun, and the food was always lovely compared to the buffet offerings we’ve had in the past. Dinner always felt like a special occasion. Drinks were still available and plentiful. Nothing spectacular on hand but excellent for us! Beach drinks were always perfect and refreshing. The champagne and caviar bar was really the star for us. Open for 5 of the 7 days of the week it’s delicious and fun. We would sit in the lounge area before or after dinner and have the small tasting plate of caviar with a few glasses of champagne. Lovely!

Entertainment: All the music was fun and lively. It really added to our enjoyment during the trip. Since we had a pool view room, two of the bands were right outside our office so we could dance on our back patio and sit right outside our room to listen. It was like a private concert. If you go to bed early, you may not want to book a pool view room because of the proximity to dining and these musical acts.

Beach/Excursions: We only did 1 excursion with Captain Marvin that Randall at the beach set up for us. It was parasailing and definitely worth it for us. The water in Turks and Caicos is so bright and perfect it’s an excellent GoPro opportunity for some video. The dedicated beach loungers are amazing and so comfy. You can request a second umbrella if needed. HUGE shoutout to Randall who made our days down there amazing with constant drinks, memorizing our favorite lunch order and having it ready, always smiling. Sammy took us out on the Catamaran, which was amazing and also helped us with our snorkel equipment. The beach itself is absolutely pristine, and the swimming area is as well. We got to hang out with a small group of fish every day. A super quiet stretch of beach, too, set well away from the mega resorts (although there is still some noise pollution of their music, etc.)

I’m not sure what more I can say, but we had a fantastic trip and are already planning on saving to go back ASAP. The pictures I’m uploading will tell the same story. By the end of the journey, I was already calling The Beach House home. Thank you to everyone who made our special trip so perfect… TRULY perfect. We cannot wait to return here and see you all.
